Συγκεκριμένα σε ένα post στο Instagram, ο παραγωγός του Scooby-Doo, Tony Cervone θέλησε να μιλήσει ανοιχτά για τη Βίλμα και να παραδεχτεί ότι στο Mystery Incorporated δεν είναι bisexual, αλλά ομοφυλόφιλη.

Η Βίλμα είναι ομοφυλόφυλη

«Πάντα σχεδιάζαμε η Βίλμα να αντιδρά κάπως περίεργα όταν έβγαινε με τον Σάγκι και αυτό γιατί η συγκεκριμένη σχέση ήταν ένα λάθος». Στη συνέχεια ο Tony Cervone αποκάλυψε ότι η Βίλμα είναι ζευγάρι με τη Μάρσι: «Αυτή ήταν η πρόθεσή μας» τόνισε.

Στη διαδικτυακή συζήτηση παρενέβη και ο σεναριογράφος James Gunn, ο οποίος αποκάλυψε ότι στο αρχικό σενάριο της ταινίας «Marcie» του 2001 η Βίλμα ήταν ξεκάθαρα ομοφυλόφιλη και υπήρχε φιλί με τη Δάφνη. Ωστόσο δεν το είδαμε ποτέ, γιατί η ταινία έπρεπε να είναι κατάλληλη για όλους.
