Στη σουίτα «Λευκή Σαντορίνη» του Icehotel

Δύο εβδομάδες πήρε σε 33 καλλιτέχνες από 16 χώρες για να δημιουργήσουν την 30ή εκδοχή του Icehotel, μια έκθεση έργων τέχνης από χιόνι και πάγο από τον ποταμό Torne στη Σουηδία.

Μαζί με την ομάδα οικοδόμησης του ξενοδοχείου, οι καλλιτέχνες δημιούργησαν 15 σουίτες τέχνης για τους επισκέπτες, οι οποίοι τώρα μπορούν, έως τις 14 Απριλίου του 2020, να διανυκτερεύσουν στη σουίτα «White Santorini».

Μετά, το ICEHOTEL #30 θα λιώσει και θα «επιστρέψει» στον Torne. Θα παραμείνει μόνον το «ICEHOTEL 365», το μόνιμο τμήμα του ξενοδοχείου, το οποίο προσφέρει εμπειρία πάγου και χιονιού 365 μέρες τον χρόνο.

Την περασμένη άνοιξη, 1.300 κομμάτια πάγου περισυνελέγησαν από το ποτάμι και διατηρήθηκαν έως την εποχή που μπορούσαν να χρησιμοποιηθούν ως δομικά υλικά.

«Σχεδιάσαμε το ICEHOTEL #30 από τις αρχές της άνοιξης, όταν η επιτροπή αποφάσισε ποιες σουίτες τέχνης θα υλοποιηθούν» είπε, στο Designboom, ο διευθυντής δημιουργικού του ICEHOTEL, Luca Roncoroni.

«Υπάρχει κάτι το ιδιαίτερο στη δημιουργία τέχνης και ντιζάιν, σε συνεργασία με το ποτάμι, τον ουρανό και τον αέρα» πρόσθεσε.

Πριν 30 χρόνια, ο ιδρυτής του ICEHOTEL, ο Yngve Bergqvist ξεκίνησε να βαδίζει στο μονοπάτι που οδήγησε στο πρώτο ξενοδοχείο από χιόνι και πάγο στον κόσμο.
