Τηλεθεάτρια παρατήρησε πως παρουσιάστρια έχει κύστη στον λαιμό

Σωτήρια και καταλυτική αποδείχθηκε η παρατηρητικότητα από μια τηλεθεάτρια του καναλιού Ten στην Αυστραλία για μία παρουσιάστρια εκπομπής.

Διάγνωση μέσω…. τηλεοπτικού δέκτη

Η τηλεθεάτρια λοιπόν, βλέποντας την εκπομπή της προηγούμενης Παρασκευής, παρατήρησε πως η παρουσιάστρια Antoinette Lattouf είχε μία μεγάλη και εμφανή κύστη στον λαιμό της. Η τηλεθεάτρια είδε την κύστη την ώρα που μίλαγε σε συνδυασμό με κάποιες κινήσεις της.

Έτσι, πήρε την απόφαση να στείλει ένα μήνυμα στους υπεύθυνους της εκπομπής, γράφοντας: «Έχει τσεκάρει τον θηριοειδή της τελευταία; Δεν το παίζω έξυπνη ή να κοροϊδεύω, απλά ανησυχώ με αυτό που είδα στην τηλεόραση», έγραψε η Wendy McCoy, η οποία ξεκαθάρισε οτι δεν είναι γιατρός, αλλά είχε έναν φίλο που είχε κάτι ανάλογο.

So a viewer wrote in today expressing concern over the size of my thyroid and suggested I go and see a doctor. I was a little startled by the feedback, but it was done out of genuine concern, and looking at these pictures, my thyroid does look quite pronounced! (I promise it’s not an Adam’s apple). My family has a history of thyroid issues including from hypothyroidism to thyroid cancer so I’ve made a doctors appointment. It wouldn’t be the first time there has been a diagnosis via TV audience. Μόλις έδειξαν το μήνυμα στην παρουσιάστρια, πήγε και είδε τα συγκεκριμένα πλάνα και σοκαρίστηκε κάπως, καθώς στην οικογένειά της υπήρχε ιστορικό καρκίνου στον θυροειδή.

Έτσι, μίλησε αμέσως με τον γιατρό της και ξεκίνησε την προβλεπόμενη διαδικασία. Μετά από 3 εξετάσεις αίματος, έναν υπέρηχο και μία ακτινογραφία, αποδείχθηκε ότι ήταν αυτοάνοση ασθένεια και δεν είχε σχέση με την επάρατη νόσο.

Ωστόσο έπρεπε να υποβληθεί σε χειρουργική επέμβαση, προκειμένου να της αφαιρεθεί η κύστη, καθώς σε διαφορετικά περίπτωση υπήρχε σοβαρή πιθανότητα να της δημιουργηθεί πρόβλημα στην μυϊκή της δύναμη, στην υγεία των οστών, ακόμα και στον καρδιακό ρυθμό.
