The truth about the public meeting of the two men

There was no discussion for persons which could be nominated for the position of President of the Republic. There was no discussion about a possible candidacy of Mr. K. Karamanlis, obviously given his position, that he is not interested to do so.

Many things were written and will be written even more in the coming days about the dinner

of the two men at Hilton. Many of these are beyond the limits of imagination or the desires of some...

The truth, however, and the focus of the meeting is elsewhere; not in what the Prime Minister told to Kostas Karamanlis, but in what Kostas Karamanlis answered..

According to perfectly valid information of Newsbomb, the former prime minister did not say anything specific to Mr. Samaras.

To take things from scratch, we must first of all to clarify that the overall unrest prevailing in "Karamanlis camp", for the options of the coalition ND - PASOK, has alarmed the Maximou.

If something serious came from the meeting between K. Karamanlis and Ant. Samaras, was the appeal of Prime Minister to the former Prime Minister to join the "safari" of Maximou for gather 180 members, in order to be elected the President of the Republic from this House and not lead the country to early elections!
According to perfectly valid sources of Newsbomb.gr, Ant. Samaras said to K. Karamanlis:

- Kostas, towards the end of the year, after the adoption of the budget I would like you to make an try, to call anyone who you think you may affect, in order to gather the 180 MPs, this is very important!

According the same information, K. Karamanlis declined to answer the request.

However, as we are able to know, he feels that is very difficult or unlikely to be able to gather 180.

However Samaras said during the meeting that under certain conditions it is possible and so he asked Karamanlis's help.

Indeed at one point he said that "we have find 170 and we go for 180"...

Because, as he said, a lot will depend from the political climate that will be formed in early 2015.

Samaras appeared confident and said to Karamanlis, that after the successful test of the stress test in banks, the climate will change.
And generally in early 2015 will be better for the government.

For the rest, as our information insist:
