Η ABT Sportsline παρουσίασε το δικό της βελτιωτικό πακέτο για το νέο Volkswagen Golf R.

Όσον αφορά στον τομέα της εμφάνισης, το βελτιωμένο από την ABT, Golf R μπορεί να εφοδιαστεί με spoiler στο κάτω μέρος του εμπρός προφυλακτήρα, ελαφρώς ανανεωμένη γρίλια, πιο επιθετικές πλαϊνές ποδιές, πίσω αεροτομή και νέο διαχύτη. Το πακέτο συμπληρώνουν τα νέα

καλύμματα των καθρεπτών και οι όμορφες ER-C ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος.

Όμως το kit δεν σταματάει στο αισθητικό κομμάτι. Ο υπερτροφοδοτούμενος, δίλιτρος, τετρακύλινδρος κινητήρας που κινεί το Golf R, εξοπλίστηκε με μία “ειδικά εξελιγμένη μονάδα διαχείρισης” και πλέον αποδίδει 370 άλογα και 460 Nm ροπής (70 άλογα και 80 Nm περισσότερα από το εργοστασιακό). Χάρη στην επιπλέον ιπποδύναμη, το γερμανικό hot hatch, επιταχύνει στα 100km/h από στάση σε μόλις 4.5 δευτερόλεπτα (0.6 δευτερόλεπτα ταχύτερα από το stock) ενώ η τελική του κερδίζει 15km/h και διαμορφώνεται στα 265 χιλιόμετρα ανά ώρα.

A new Golfing champion: ABT presents the Golf VII R with 370 hp

Who, when looking at these numbers, would still dare to say that golf was no real sport?

ABT Sportsline, the globally largest tuner of the Volkswagen Group’s brands, with its ABT

Power New Generation has uprated the VII R from 300 hp (221 kW) to no less than 370 hp

(272 kW), which is 23 percent more. And the maximum torque has been upped from 380 to

460 Nm. If you swing your club here at a red light, you will reach 100 kph in 4.5 seconds

(serial version: 5.1 seconds). While the standard model’s top speed is 250 kph fast, the

ABT’s is 265.

ABT Power New Generation consists of a specially developed control unit with its own

software. The ABT Engine Control is the ideal solution of the latest generation’s engines

and was tested on the company’s own roller test bench and on the road. Fuel consumption

is, incidentally, the same as in the standard model.

ABT also lends its Golf VII an elitist look. The body kit that is in the pipeline shows a

convincing interplay of lacquered and matt surfaces. The ABT front grille, front spoiler with

an integrated blade, head light covers, mirror caps, side skirt add-ons, a rear wing, tail gate

and rear skirt add-on and the matching, dark ER-C wheels complete the “golf set”. And after

a visit to the ABT Driving Range this king of the compact class is still roadworthy – you can

well do without another caddy.
