Η Volkswagen στη Φρανκφούρτη παρουσιάζει το Volkswagen MultiVan PanAmericana concept. Το πρωτότυπο έχει βαφτεί σε λευκό χρώμα με κόκκινες και μαύρες λεπτομέρειες, φουσκωμένα φτερά, νέα μαρσπιέ, μεταλλικό spoiler στον μπροστά προφυλακτήρα και μεγάλες ζάντες αλουμινίου.

Το πρωτότυπο μπορεί να μεταφέρει στο πίσω μέρος την μοτοσυκλέτα του ιδιοκτήτη που θα ανεβοκατεβαίνει

μέσω μιας ηλεκτρικής ράμπας. Υπάρχουν άγκιστρα στερέωσης στο εσωτερικό ώστε να παραμείνει στη θέση της η μοτοσυκλέτα κατά τη μεταφορά.

Κίνηση παίρνει από έναν 2.0-λιτρο turbodiesel απόδοσης 204 ίππων με 400 Nm ροπής που περνά σε όλους τους τροχούς μέσω ενός 7-τάχυτου DSG κιβωτίου, με το πίσω διαφορικό να είναι μηχανικό και να διαθέτει επιλογή κλειδώματος. Στο εσωτερικό υπάρχουν νέα πατάκια, αλουμινένια πεντάλ και νέες επενδύσεις.

Hannover / Frankfurt, 14 September 2015. Globetrotter? Offroader? Or – as in this case – competitive racer? The concept of the new Multivan PanAmericana not only unites diverse worlds; with this vehicle these worlds can be conquered too. On the occasion of the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA), the specialists from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles are presenting a limited edition – another promising version that will add one more positive trait to the best seller from Hannover that already has numerous such traits. This is the ability to conveniently and safely transport the owner’s valuable motorcycle in the interior – such as to take it to a favourite Alps pass or race course – with electrically assisted loading and unloading.

The PanAmericana concept vehicle unites the comfort of the Multivan with the off-road capabilities of an SUV. Above all, however, it does what it does best: serving as a magnificent transport vehicle for cargo loads of nearly any type or size. This configuration offers a very special fascination. Because it conveys to its driver the feeling of unlimited freedom and power. Regardless of the trip’s destination. The Multivan PanAmericana can pack it in.

Globetrotter: Visually, the Multivan PanAmericana concept vehicle, that is painted in Oryx White, features distinctive details. The vehicle can be made out at first glance as a limited edition of the Multivan by the PanAmericana badge at the rear and on the B-pillar, the fins on the radiator grille and the styling line above the side sill in Flash Red and black. Wheel arch mouldings and flared side sills underscore the vehicle’s sporty image as well. Also visible in front is the sturdy lightweight metal underbody guard.

The interior is also distinguished by a mix of sophisticated yet rugged materials. Features include decorative strips on the seats in white and carbon look that are colour coordinated with the exterior paint, combined with the rugged “Clip” upholstery for the middle seat panels and white contrasting stitching. Aluminium diamond plate instead of the carpeted floor in the passenger compartment reinforces the vehicle’s rugged character.

That is because this edition being shown for the first time in Frankfurt was made for a target group with very high standards: motorcycle racers who want to conveniently transport their fine superbikes over long distances to their favourite courses. They will find that this chic version of the best-selling transport vehicle – combined with the necessary electric load ramp and interior mounting hooks – is ideal for their next (racing) adventure.
