Η Red Bull Racing είναι η κορυφαία ομάδα που δέχθηκε το μεγαλύτερο πλήγμα στην υβριδική εποχή της Formula 1. Οι μηχανικοί στο Milton Keynes, όμως, βελτιώθηκαν σημαντικά φέτος, ενώ θεωρητικά οι σχεδιαστικές αλλαγές του 2017 θα λειτουργήσουν υπέρ της Red Bull, καθώς ο Adrian Newey θα βάλει και πάλι το χεράκι του.

Η βελτίωση αυτή δεν έχει περάσει απαρατήρητη, προσελκύοντας ενδιαφέρον εταιρειών που θέλουν να

συνεργαστούν με την αυστριακή ομάδα, και μία εξ αυτών είναι η ExxonMobil. Η πολυεθνική εταιρεία πετρελαίου και φυσικού αερίου θα αντικαταστήσει στην ουσία την Total, που συνεργάζεται με τη Renault, η οποία προμηθεύει με power units την Red Bull.

Η αμερικανική εταιρεία είναι μία από τις μεγαλύτερες στον κόσμο, με ετήσια έσοδα κοντά στα $250 δισεκατομμύρια και αναμένεται να βοηθήσει την αυστριακή ομάδα στην πορεία της προς την κορυφή, με το λογότυπο της Mobil 1 να βρίσκεται στην RB13.

Red Bull Racing teams up with ExxonMobil

Formula One is a sport in which victory requires every element of a team’s performance to blend perfectly – from design, build, testing and racing right down to the kind of fuels and lubricants used to power us towards the podium.

Getting the mix right isn’t easy, which is why Red Bull Racing is delighted to announce that we’re refining our performance even further for 2017 by partnering with fuel and lubricant giants ExxonMobil.

As a team partner, official fuel partner, official lubricant partner, and official motor oil partner of the team in 2017, ExxonMobil will provide Red Bull Racing with leading-edge Mobil 1™ lubricants and Synergy Race Fuels. ExxonMobil will deliver engineering support to develop next-generation lubricants designed to improve race car engine and gearbox performance.

The company’s Mobil 1 and Esso brands will feature on our cars, driver overalls and helmets, as well as being displayed at the Red Bull Racing Factory in Milton Keynes, and at trackside events.

The new ExxonMobil and Red Bull Racing partnership extends the Mobil 1 synthetic lubricant brand’s successful 38-year involvement in Grand Prix racing. Mobil 1 has lubricated more than 100 Grand Prix-winning cars, and has won six Formula One world drivers’ championships and five Formula One world constructors’ championships since entering the sport in 1978.
