Η GM σταματά τη λειτουργία 4 εργοστασίων της στις Η.Π.Α λόγω των σεισμών στην Ιαπωνία

Οι σεισμοί που χτύπησαν την Ιαπωνία την περασμένη εβδομάδα οδήγησαν την General Motors να σταματήσει την λειτουργία τεσσάρων εργοστασίων της στις Η.Π.Α.

Τα τέσσερα εργοστάσια θα μπούνε στο “ρελαντί” για τις επόμενες δύο εβδομάδες λόγω έλλειψης εξαρτημάτων και ανταλλακτικών, τα οποία κατασκευάζονται στην Ιαπωνία. Πρόκειται

για το εργοστάσιο στο Spring Hill, του Τενεσί που κατασκευάζει τα GMC Acadia και Cadillac XT5, το εργοστάσιο στο Lordstown του Οχάιο που κατασκευάζει το Chevrolet Cruze, το εργοστάσιο στη πόλη Fairfax του Κάνσας που κατασκευάζει τα Chevrolet Malibu και Buick LaCrosse, όπως επίσης και το εργοστάσιο στη πόλη Oshawa του Οντάριο που είναι υπεύθυνο για την παραγωγή των Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Impala, Buick Regal και Cadillac XTS.

GM Adjusts Production in Wake of Japan Earthquakes2016-04-22

Print Print Send Email Word Share Add ThisDETROIT – As GM continues to assess the potential impact on its supply chain from the recent earthquakes in Japan, it is taking proactive steps to mitigate a part supply issue and is adjusting production schedules at four of its North American assembly facilities.

The manufacturing operations at the following GM North America assembly facilities are currently expected to be down for two weeks beginning April 25, 2016: Spring Hill, Tenn.; Oshawa Flex Assembly, Canada; Lordstown, Ohio; and Fairfax, Kan.

This temporary adjustment is not expected to have any material impact on GM’s full-year production plans in North America. In addition, the company does not expect a material impact to its second quarter or full-year financial results for GM North America.
