Η Honda θα παρουσιάσει στη Νέα Υόρκη το Αμερικάνικο Vezel

H Honda ανακοίνωσε πως στην έκθεση της Νέας Υόρκης θα παρουσιάσει ένα νέο compact crossover. Λεπτομέρειες για το αυτοκίνητο δεν έδωσε η Honda, εκτός του ότι μοντέλο θα ξεκινήσει να πωλείται από τον ερχόμενο χειμώνα. Λογικά πρόκειται για την αμερικάνικη έκδοση του Vezel, το οποίο στην απέναντι μεριά του Ατλαντικού θα πωλείται με το όνομα HR-V. Μαζί του, στο περίπτερο της Honda

θα υπάρχει το νέο Fit, καθώς και η νέα γενιά του ASIMO.

To αυτοκίνητο θα κατασκευάζεται στο εργοστάσιο της εταιρίας στη πόλη Celaya του Μεξικό, και βασίζεται στο πάτωμα του Fit/Jazz. Στην Ευρώπη θα κυκλοφορήσει από το 2015, πιθανότατα με το ίδιο όνομα όπως και στην Αμερική. Στην Ιαπωνία κυκλοφορεί ήδη με έναν 1.500αρη άμεσου ψεκασμού κινητήρα βενζίνης και σε μια υβριδική έκδοση, την Sport Hybrid i-DCD (Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive), η οποία συνδυάζει τον 1.500αρη βενζινοκινητήρα και έναν ηλεκτροκινητήρα.

With the new 2015 Fit set to go on-sale nationwide in the second half of this month, Honda will showcase a full color spectrum of the newly-launched model at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. Possessing class-leading cargo and passenger space, top fuel economy ratings and numerous new standard features, the 2015 Fit is poised to reset the benchmark in the subcompact segment. Complementing the Fit launch, Honda will make an announcement about the compact SUV that will join the lineup this winter during the noon E.T. press conference on April 17.

Additionally, the next-generation of Honda’s advanced humanoid robot, ASIMO, will hold a special live demonstration on the 17th of its new technology and mobility capabilities at the New York Auto Show. Members of the media are encouraged to attend one of the four live demonstrations scheduled at the Honda booth at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., as well as the special lunchtime press conference.
