Μιας που είμαστε στο θέμα της SEMA, η Ford ανακοίνωσε ότι εκτός από όλα τα υπόλοιπα, θα παρουσιάσει και κάποια βελτιωμένα Fiesta ST και Focus ST. Επιγραμματικά, να αναφέρουμε ότι θα παρουσιάσει ένα πορτοκαλί Focus ST με βελτιώσεις της CJ Pony Parts, ένα “μελλοντικό rally-car” από την Rally Innovations, ένα βελτιωμένο από την Cobb Tuning, ένα “ισορροπημένο” Focus ST της FSWerks, ένα slammed Fiesta ST από την Cinemotive Media και ένα “track-ready” Fiesta ST από την DSPort με περισσότερα από 400 άλογα. IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 29, 2015 — The Mazda MX-5 Miata has been an exercise in honing the concept of a lightweight sports car for more than 26 years, created solely for driving exhilaration.
But for the 2015 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Mazda designers wanted to see what they could do if that idea was taken to the extreme. What they created were two vastly different takes on the fourth-generation MX-5: The 2016 MX-5 Spyder Concept and 2016 MX-5 Speedster Concept.
MX-5 Spyder captures the character of a vintage roadster and translates it into a modern-day design, including bespoke leather interior details that were painstakingly crafted, and featuring a new Mercury Silver concept paint color.
MX-5 Speedster is a study in the extremes of lightweight, purpose-built performance, paying homage to minimalist roadsters of the 1950s. The Blue Ether-painted MX-5 Speedster is uncompromised in its approach to wind-in-the-hair driving, going so far as to eschew a traditional windshield for a lighter deflector.
Both cars are significantly lighter than the 2,332-lbs. MX-5 roadster that customers can purchase at dealers and come with a host of conceptual and aftermarket pieces and fabrication from partners including Racing Beat, Haartz Corporation, ASC – American Sunroof Corporation, Makin Industries/RAYS Wheels, KW Suspensions, Delta Seat, H&R Springs, Lusch, AC&A Manufacturing, Franks Fab Shop, Long Road Racing and SIM Specialty Interior Manufacturing.
MX-5 Spyder and Speedster concepts will be on display at the SEMA Show on November 3-6 at the in the Mazda booth, #11647 in the North Hall.

At the End of the Rainbow is Where You Will Find the ST Pot of Gold
Looking for the best balance of handling and power, FSWERKS has created this well-refined Focus ST. Keeping the exterior clean was a priority; the only changes you will see here are sideskirts, a front splitter and a more aggressive wheel/tire combination. Their focus was on the heart of the ST, giving it more power through better breathing and a short throw shift kit for quicker, more precise throws. To keep the ST a well-rounded overall performance vehicle, they also upgraded the brakes, added a lower front stress bar and anti-sway bar with a coilover suspension to keep everything buttoned up when taking on curvy roads or a track.

Putting the ST in Fast: Orange is the New Black
DSPORT jumped into their project car with the idea of “Exploring the 1.6-liter EcoBoost limits with a track-ready Fiesta ST.” With plentiful modifications for the powertrain and chassis, this Fiesta ST has become a highly capable track machine, so capable its 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine could produce north of 400 horsepower at high boost levels. DSPORT has race-prepped this ST to compete in the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car (TC) class where it will be restricted to only 300 horsepower per class rules.
