Η Nikola Motor έχει 2,3 δισ. δολάρια σε προ-παραγγελίες για το ηλεκτρικό φορτηγό της

Η Nikola Motor ανακοίνωσε πως έχει λάβει ήδη 7.000 προ-παραγγελίες για το ηλεκτρικό φορτηγό της μέσα σε μόλις έναν μήνα, με το σύνολο των προ-παραγγελιών να ανέρχεται στα 2,3 δισ. δολάρια, υπολογίζοντας όλη την αξία των φορτηγών (κόστους μεταξύ 350.000 – 415.000 δολαρίων) και όχι μόνο το ύψος της προκαταβολής των 1.500 δολαρίων.

Το Nikola One, όπως ονομάζεται το φορτηγό, προσφέρει την εντυπωσιακή αυτονομία των 1.200 μιλίων (1.930 χλμ), με τους έξι ηλεκτροκινητήρες του

-έναν σε κάθε τροχό- να αποδίδουν πάνω από 2.000 άλογα και 5.000 Nm ροπής. Υπάρχει και ένας κινητήρας που καταναλώνει φυσικό αέριο, ο οποίος λειτουργεί αποκλειστικά ως range extender, μιας και το μόνο που κάνει είναι να φορτίζει τις μπαταρίες χωρητικότητας 320 kWh. Η εταιρία δηλώνει πως το φορτηγό της, κάνει τα 0-96 χλμ/ώρα με φορτίο, σε περίπου 30 δευτερόλεπτα, τον μισό από τον χρόνο που χρειάζεται ένα φορτηγό με κινητήρα diesel.

Το όχημα είναι 6×6, διαθέτει σύστημα ανάκτησης ενέργειας κατά το φρενάρισμα και πλήρως ανεξάρτητη ανάρτηση. Μπορεί να ανέβει μια ανηφόρα με κλίση 6%, με ταχύτητα 105 χλμ/ώρα, την ώρα που ένα φορτηγό με diesel κινητήρα ανεβαίνει έναν τέτοιο δρόμο με ταχύτητα 55 χλμ/ώρα.

Στο εσωτερικό του φορτηγού υπάρχει μια μεγάλη οθόνη αφής 15″, ψηφιακός πίνακας οργάνων 10″, σύνδεση στο internet 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, κάμερα 360 μοιρών, 42″ τηλεόραση, φούρνος μικροκυμάτων, δύο κρεβάτια, ψυγείο και καταψύκτης. Σύμφωνα με την Nikola Motor, το λειτουργικό κόστος του φορτηγού της ανέρχεται στα 20-30 σεντς ανά μίλι, την ώρα που ένα diesel φορτηγό έχει λειτουργικό κόστος 40-60 σεντς ανά μίλι.

Στόχος της είναι να βγάλει τα φορτηγά με μορφή leasing στην αγορά, με τον καθένα να πληρώνει το ποσό των 5.000 δολαρίων τον μήνα. Στη τιμή περιλαμβάνεται το μίσθωμα, απεριόριστη χρήση καυσίμου, απεριόριστα χιλιόμετρα, η συντήρηση, όπως και η εγγύηση. Αν κάποιος θέλει να το αγοράσει θα πρέπει να πληρώσει μεταξύ 350.000 – 415.000 δολαρίων.

Nikola Motor Company Generates $2.3 Billion in Pre-Sales in First Month

SALT LAKE CITY. June 13, 2016– Nikola (pronounced Neek-oh-la) Motor Company Founder and CEO Trevor Milton today announced that $2.3 billion in reservations have been generated in the first month, totaling more than 7,000 truck reservations with deposits. The company announced last month that it will launch an electric class 8 semi-truck, dubbed “Nikola One.”

“Our technology is 10-15 years ahead of any other OEM in fuel efficiencies, MPG and emissions. We are the only OEM to have a near zero emission truck and still outperform diesel trucks running at 80,000 pounds. To have over 7,000 reservations totaling more than 2.3 billion dollars, with five months remaining until our unveiling ceremony, is unprecedented,” said Milton.

The Nikola One truck leasing program costs $4000 to $5000 per month, depending on which truck configuration and options the customer chooses. The first million miles of fuel is included with every truck sale, offsetting 100% of the monthly lease for every owner. An average diesel burns over $400,000 in fuel and racks up over $100,000 in maintenance costs over 1,000,000 miles. These costs are eliminated with the Nikola One lease.

“We believe we will pass the current market leaders like Daimler, PACCAR, Volvo and Navistar in sales orders within the next 12-24 months. Just imagine the orders that will come in once we begin taking dealer applications. We have shown other OEMs and their shareholders why they should be nervous about Nikola Motor Company. Some of the top class 8 dealerships in America have reached out and are willing to either add our brand or move away from their existing brands,” he added.

Nikola Motor Company has already completed a seed round of funding and is working on funding a $300 million A round to be completed by December 2016.
