Η Toyota μειώνει την τιμή του Prius κατά $2.010

H Nissan στις αρχές του έτους είχε μειώσει τη τιμή του Leaf στην Αμερική κατά $6.400, ενώ στην ίδια κίνηση προέβη και η Chevrolet για το Volt το περασμένο καλοκαίρι, μιας και “έκοψε” από τη τιμή του $5.000.

Η τρίτη εταιρία της “παρέας”, η Toyota,

δε θα μπορούσε να μείνει έξω από το χορό και έτσι πλέον μειώσει τη βασική τιμή του Prius κατά $2.010, κάτι που σημαίνει ότι έσπασε το ψυχολογικό φράγμα των $30.000, μιας και η νέα τιμή του είναι $29.990.

Με αυτά τα λεφτά, ο Αμερικάνος αγοράζει ένα Prius που διαθέτει μια λίστα πλούσιου εξοπλισμού, όπως θερμαινόμενα καθίσματα, κλιματισμό, μοναδικές ζάντες αλουμινίου και ε χρόνια Οδική Βοήθεια μέσω του προγράμματος ToyotaCare.

Η αμέσως επόμενη έκδοση, Advanced, κοστίζει $4.620 απ’ότι προηγούμενα και με τιμή $34.905, έχει επιπλέον ηλεκτρικά ρυθμιζόμενο κάθισμα οδηγού οχτώ κατευθύνσεων, head-up display, premium HDD navigation με ενσωματωμένο το Entune, θερμαινόμενα δερμάτινα καθίσματα SofTex και το σύστημα Safety Connect.

Στον εξτρά εξοπλισμό του Prius Plug-In Advanced υπάρχει το πακέτο εξοπλισμού “Technology” που διαθέτει LED φωτιστικά σώματα και φώτα ομίχλης, σύστημα αποφυγής πρόσκρουσης και δυναμικό cruise control με ραντάρ. Τα νέα Prius θα είναι διαθέσιμα από τον Νοέμβριο.

Toyota’s most advanced technology passenger car, the Prius Plug-in, will be available to customers at a substantially reduced price beginning with the 2014 model year.

Toyota has reduced MSRP on the 2014 Prius Plug-in Hybrid by over $2,000, making the starting MSRP $29,990 (excluding DPH). This price repositioning on the base Prius Plug-in Hybrid is not accompanied by any reduction in vehicle content.

The 2014 Prius Plug-in Hybrid is well-equipped (similar to a Prius Three), but adds these appealing features:
