Το VUHL 05 περνά στη παραγωγή

Η VUHL ανακοίνωσε πως έχει δεχτεί ήδη αρκετές παραγγελίες οι οποίες εξασφαλίζουν πως το 05 θα περάσει στη παραγωγή. Σύμφωνα με τον Guillermo Echeverria, διευθυντή της εταιρίας, η VUHL πήγε στο Goodwood το 05 ώστε να προσελκύσει πελάτες και να προπουλήσει τα 20 “Edition One” που θα βγάλει αρχικά στη παραγωγή. τα περισσότερα από αυτά τα αυτοκίνητα έχουν ήδη βρει αγοραστή και έτσι η παραγωγή του VUHL 05 θα ξεκινήσει από τον Νοέμβριο με τις πρώτες παραδώσεις να γίνονται την άνοιξη του 2014. Στην Αγγλία το σπορ μοντέλο ξεκινά από τις £55.000 (χωρίς ΦΠΑ

και έξοδα μεταφοράς)

Το αυτοκίνητο εξοπλίζεται με τον 2,0-λιτρο EcoBoost κινητήρα της Ford απόδοσης 285 ίππων με 420 Nm ροπής. Συνδυάζεται με ένα 6-τάχυτο μηχανικό κιβώτιο ταχυτήτων με τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα να τα κάνει σε 3,7 δευτερόλεπτα έχοντας τελική ταχύτητα 244 χλμ/ώρα.

Έχει μήκος 3.718 mm, πλάτος 1.876 mm, ύψος 1.120 mm, μεταξόνιο 2.300 mm και ζυγίζει 695 κιλά. Έχει αναλογία 400 ίππων/τόνο με αναλογία βάρους 37% μπροστά και 63% πίσω. Φορά αλουμινένιο monocoque σασί το οποίο προσφέρει τρεις φορές μεγαλύτερη στρεπτική ακαμψία από αυτή της Lotus Elise.

Η εταιρία το χαρακτηρίζει ως ένα “road-legal” υπερελαφρύ supercar” το οποίο έχει κατασκευαστεί με στόχο την άψογη συμπεριφορά εντός πίστας. Υπόσχεται να προσφέρει “συναρπαστική απόδοση”, με το αυτοκίνητο να έχει αναπτυχθεί με την βοήθεια των Multimatic, Ford, Magna Steyr και άλλων σημαντικών ονομάτων στον κλάδο της αυτοκινητοβιομηχανίας. Η συναρμολόγηση του και το σασί θα γίνονται στη πόλη του Μεξικό, το σώμα θα γίνεται στον Καναδά, ενώ το fine tuning θα γίνεται στην Αγγλία.

Mexico City, Mexico, 21 August 2013 – As a result of its highly successful world public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where a complete car and separate chassis were displayed and a further example was demonstrated on the hill by Mexican F1 rookie Esteban Gutierrez, the innovative V?HL 05 is due to enter production this November.

Said V?HL Automotive director Guillermo Echeverria: “Our aim for Goodwood was quite specific – to accrue sufficient orders for a batch of 20 ‘Edition One’ (top specification) models and, with the serious enquiries already received from the UK, central Europe, USA and Mexico, we are well on the way to achieving that and more. Production will therefore commence in November as planned, with the first cars due to enter customers’ hands during the spring of next year.

“We could not have wished for a better response from the media and public alike and, as hoped, it is clear the car is just as appealing to those wanting an ultra-cool car for the road as the serious trackday enthusiasts seeking an alternative to the offerings of more established manufacturers.

“The enthusiastic feedback we’ve received has been very rewarding. People generally love the car’s unique design, build quality and highly competitive power to weight ratio. We’ve been asked everything from whether a coupé version is on the cards to whether the roadster will form the basis of a one-make race series. Presidential patronage

The V?HL 05 programme benefits from funding by the Mexican Government as well as private enterprise and recently enjoyed a starring role in Mexico City’s annual ‘Entrepreneurs Week’, where it was unveiled by the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, who delighted attendees by not only trying the new supercar for size, but starting and revving the engine too.

Salon Prive debut

The next public outing for the silver and black prototype driven at Goodwood by Gutierrez is the premier lifestyle event Salon Privé, London, September 4-6, where V?HL will form a key part of the supercar display alongside such hallowed company as Ferrari, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Noble.
