Το απερχόμενο Nissan Rogue θα πωλείται παράλληλα με το καινούριο ως Rogue Select

Η Nissan ανακοίνωσε πως θα συνεχίσει να πουλά στις Η.Π.Α. το απερχόμενο Rogue ως Rogue Select, παράλληλα με το νέο Nissan Rogue που θα ξεκινήσει να πωλείται από τις αρχές Νοεμβρίου.

Η διστακτικότητα της Nissan να αποσύρει ένα όχημα που την τελευταία χρονιά σημείωσε αύξηση στις πωλήσεις του κρίνεται ως απόλυτα δικαιολογημένη ενώ για να διαφοροποιήσει τουλάχιστον τιμολογιακά τα δύο αυτοκίνητα, η τωρινή γενιά Rogue –το 2014 Rogue Select δηλαδή- θα

πωλείται για λιγότερο από 20.000$. Για να έχετε μία τάξη μεγέθους, το 2013 Nissan Rogue κοστίζει 20.310$ ενώ το 2014 Nissan Rogue, το νέο μοντέλο δηλαδή, θα ξεκινά από τα 22.490$.

Όσο η κατηγορία των SUV γίνεται όλο και πιο εξειδικευμένη, υπάρχει άνοιγμα για ένα όχημα χαμηλού κόστους και με πλήρη εξοπλισμό, ένα άνοιγμα που θα καλύψει το Rogue Select. Το Rogue Select θα επιτρέψει στην Nissan να συνεχίσει τις καλές πωλήσεις στην κατηγορία, πωλήσεις που θα γίνουν ακόμη καλύτερες όταν το ολοκαίνουριο, κατασκευασμένο στην Αμερική 2014 Rogue βγει στην αγορά.

Είπε ο Fred Diaz, περιφερειακός αντιπρόεδρος πωλήσεων και marketing για την Nissan North America.

Nissan to Continue U.S. Sales of Current Generation Rogue – Renamed Rogue Select

Due to popular demand, current generation Rogue to continue in Nissan lineup as Rogue SelectRogue, the second best-selling vehicle in Nissan’s U.S. lineup, is totally redesigned for 2014 model year – set for November on-sale

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With the November on-sale date of the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue compact utility vehicle coming fast, Nissan today announced that the popular current-generation Rogue will continue in its lineup for the immediate future.

Renamed the Rogue Select, it is slated to go on sale in January 2014 at a base M.S.R.P.* of less than $20,000 (USD) at Nissan dealers nationwide. Rogue Select complements the completely redesigned Rogue, which debuted on September 10. The strategy behind this move is to satisfy demand for the popular compact sports utility vehicle, currently second-highest seller in Nissan’s lineup, as well as provide customers an additional choice in the segment.

In CY2012, Rogue sold 142,349 units in the U.S., while in 2013 sales have increased 16% through August.

“As the compact SUV segment is becoming very specialized, there is an opening for a low-cost, high-content offering, which is a gap that Rogue Select will fill,” said Fred Diaz, divisional vice president, Sales and Marketing, Nissan North America, Inc. “Rogue Select will allow Nissan to continue its strong performance in the segment, which will only get stronger once the all-new, U.S.-built 2014 Rogue goes on sale.”

The all-new Rogue will be assembled in Smyrna, Tenn., while the current-generation vehicle is built in Kyushu, Japan, where Rogue Select will also be assembled.

More information about Rogue Select, including equipment levels and pricing, will be available closer to its on-sale date.

Signature of the MOU for the production of the new Nissan Rogue in Busan, Korea

Seoul (South Korea), September 30, 2013 – Colin Dodge, head of Nissan’s operations in North America, and François Provost, CEO of RSM, signed today a memorandum of understanding allocating part of the production of the new Nissan Rogue to RSM’s Busan plant in South Korea.

Production of the Nissan Rogue will start in the United States in October 2013, while production at the Busan plant is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2014, with an annual output of 80,000 units. Most of those vehicles are intended for the North American market where, alongside the Rogue, the main Nissan models sold are the Altima, Sentra and Pathfinder.

The decision is one of the results of the RSM revival plan launched in January 2012. RSM also launched the new SM5 last year, and the QM3 and SM3 Z.E. this year.

At the press conference, Colin Dodge said, “This project is an outstanding example illustrating the strong “win-win” synergies of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. In the future, we will continue expanding such cooperative operations.”

Gilles Normand, Renault SVP, Chairman of Asia-Pacific Management Committee, said, “This project will also allow RSM to contribute to Renault’s growth in Asia and serve as a hub for the Group’s regional development.”
