Ξεκίνησε η παραγωγή του Ford Focus RS

Δέκα μήνες μετά την παρουσίαση του Focus RS στην έκθεση της Γενεύης, η Ford ανακοίνωσε ότι η παραγωγή του εξαιρετικά πολυαναμενόμενου hot hatch ξεκίνησε στο εργοστάσιο της στη πόλη Saarlouis της Γερμανίας.

Κάτω από το καπό του αυτοκινήτου υπάρχει ο 2,3 λίτρων Ecoboost απόδοσης 350 άλογα στις 6.800 σ.α.λ. και 440 Nm ροπής από 2.000 έως τις 4.500 σ.α.λ., στέλνοντας τη δύναμη σε όλους τους τροχούς. Χάρη στο Launch Control, το 2016 Focus

RS χρειάζεται μόλις 4.7 δευτερόλεπτα για να επιταχύνει στα 100 km/h από στάση και αν ο οδηγός συνεχίσει να πατάει το γκάζι, το hot hatch του Blue Oval θα συνεχίσει να επιταχύνει μέχρι τα 266 km/h της τελικής του. Φυσικά, κατά τη διάρκεια της επιτάχυνσης –τουλάχιστον για 15 δευτερόλεπτα αυτής-, ο κινητήρας του RS αποδίδει 470 Nm ροπής, χάρη στη λειτουργία Overboost.

α θυμίσουμε το νέο Focus RS έρχεται με “Drift Mode” ενώ το σύστημα τετρακίνησης μπορεί να στείλει έως και το 70% της ροπής στον πίσω άξονα και έως το 100% αυτής της ροπής στον πίσω τροχό που κρίνει ότι πρέπει/μπορεί να την περάσει στον δρόμο. Επίσης, το 2016 Focus RS εξοπλίζεται με τη γνωστή πλέον RevoKnuckle εμπρός ανάρτηση. Όσον αφορά στην εμφάνιση, το μοντέλο φορά επιθετικό bodykit, με μεγάλη αεροτομή, δύο απολήξεις της εξάτμισης και ελαστικά 19’’ με ελαστικά της Michelin. Το εσωτερικό είναι εξοπλισμένο με sport καθίσματα της Recaro, σύστημα infotainment SYNC με οθόνη 8’’, κάμερα οπισθοπορείας κ.ά.
