Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate will manage both internal websites as well as the websites of a portfolio of clients in order to improve their Search Engine Optimisation by using techniques including but not exclusive to:
Keyword ResearchCopy OptimisationArticle MarketingSite structureURL re‐writesSocial MediaBloggingLink buildingThe candidate should have an in-depth understanding of Paid search marketing as well. A critical element of this role is to improve rankings for the clients assigned to your portfolio, and deliver reporting on a monthly basis.
Primary responsibilities:
Administer search engine programs (XML sitemaps, shopping feeds, webmaster tools) for purposes of diagnostic reporting on client projectsDigital PR and inbound link strategiesGeographical targeting and geo searchManage offsite high quality back link buildingUse of tools for measuring and comparisonUnderstanding the personalization of internet use and nonstandard search resultsUnderstanding the diversity of media and the technical implications of this e.g. video, blended search, social search, mobileHelp set, and work to, performance indicators for SEO that everyone understands and which complement overall marketing and business objectivesPromote both offsite and onsite activities and also the interactions that build ranking, profile and trafficReview and analyze client sites for areas that need to improved, deleted, or revisedIdentify the least expensive but most powerful and profitable keywords for client sitesUnderstand how to run pay-per-click campaigns if requiredWrite effective headlines and body copyWrite effective call-to-action statements.Effectively use header tags.Keep abreast of white hat and black hat tactics so as not to violate search engine guidelines.Responsibilities towards client:
Reviewing clients current websiteDeveloping an optimisation planMaking changes necessary to the site and implementing the planReporting on success and activity to clientsLiaising with management teamDeveloping long term relationships with your key clientsA high degree of energy, commitment, initiative and enthusiasm is required along with a thirst for knowledge in the internet marketing arena. The ability to organise, prioritise and meet deadlines is essential as is the ability to communicate with clients, in a polite and professional manner.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)You will have experience and a track record in search engine optimisation, social media digital marketing.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and site optimisation is expected. You will be also expected to undertake some basic coding changes on client’s sites if needed.JavaScript, PHP, or any other scripting language would be a plusCandidates will also be expected to conduct ethical link building strategies for the websites in their portfolio.Our ideal candidate will have a track record of improving the ranking and traffic of websites using white hat and black hat techniques, be able to manage a portfolio of dedicated projects and work as part of a team on larger projects.Experience working with popular keyword tools (Google, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc.)Experience working with CMS and building/administering content in CMS environmentsRequired Education:
University degree in Computer Science would be preferable but a degree is not required if the person has very good knowledge of SEO.Required Languages:
