Bronze pole vaulter Karalis to be Greece’s flag bearer at Paris 2024 closing ceremony

Bronze medalist in pole vaulting at the Paris Olympics Emmanuel Karalis will serve as the flag bearer for Greece at the 2024 Olympic Games closing ceremony.

The announcement was made by Hellenic Athletics Association (SEGAS), which noted:

"Following Antigoni Drisbioti (and Giannis Antetokounmpo), who led the Greek team during the opening ceremony on July 26, Emmanuel Karalis has been chosen by the Hellenic Olympic Committee to carry the Greek flag on the evening of August 11 as the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris come to a close. The pole vault champion who finished 4th in Tokyo in 2021, secured the bronze medal in Paris with a jump of 5.90 meters".
