EU Summit Tackles Syria Crisis, Migration Challenges, and Regional Stability

The European Union Summit in Brussels addressed critical issues surrounding the ongoing crisis in Syria, regional stability, and migration policies.

Greek Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis led calls for action to protect Syria's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and its vulnerable minorities while highlighting Turkey's increasing influence in the region.

He urged Europe to play a more assertive role in shaping the Middle East’s future.

Mr. Mitsotakis used the platform to emphasize the importance of Albania adhering to minority rights, a condition for its EU accession.

He also advocated for a fair and predictable integration process for Serbia, warning against isolating the country and risking its closer alignment with Russia.

Discussions also revolved around the need to manage migration effectively, with leaders seeking secure frameworks for returns and stronger border protections.

The summit underscored the EU’s commitment to addressing geopolitical challenges and reinforcing stability in neighboring regions.
