Earthquake Hits Town of Kalavryta in Greece

A 4.6-magnitude earthquake shook the town of Kalavryta, in the Peloponnese region of Greece, on Sunday.

The Athens Institute of Geodynamics reported that the tremor struck at 9:44 p.m. (1844 GMT) 14 kilometers west-northwest of Kalavryta, at a depth of 19.1 kilometers.

Local media reported that the quake was felt across a wide area of the Peloponnese, including the cities of Patras, the capital of the Western Greece region, Corinth, and Argos.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
