Four Arrested for Corinth robberies, Attack on German Family

Authorities in Corinth have arrested four Roma individuals believed to be responsible for a string of robberies in the region, including a violent home invasion targeting a German family in Xylokeriza.

The suspects, including two minors, are accused of multiple thefts since June, involving homes, a storage facility, and five motorcycles.

The most alarming incident occurred on Monday at 4:20 a.m. when the

group, disguised with shirts as masks and armed with shovels and a rake, broke into a house where the German family was staying.

They threatened the family, including young children, and injured the father with flying glass as they shattered windows and threw objects at him. The terrified children's cries were heard as the robbers made off with 2,400 euros in cash and a video game console.

A swift police operation led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man and his three accomplices, aged 17 and 15.

They face charges of forming a criminal organization, robbery, and illegal possession of weapons. The father of the 15-year-old was also arrested for neglecting to supervise his child.
