Greece to Celebrate August Full Moon with Cultural Events

Greece is gearing up to celebrate the August full moon, also known as the Sturgeon Moon, on August 19th. Museums and archaeological sites across the country will host special events under the moonlight.

In Athens, the Maria Callas Museum will feature a concert by Athens Conservatory students, while the Acropolis Museum will host a performance by the Hellenic Air Force Band.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center will hold an all-night 80s movie marathon, and the Ancient Theater of Zea will feature a musical event.
The Ministry of Culture will offer free entry to many sites and museums nationwide, with activities like theatrical performances and stargazing. This special night offers everyone a chance to enjoy Greece's rich culture and natural beauty under the full moon's glow.
