Greek Foreign Minister Gerapetritis Meets U.S. Senator Rubio in Washington

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis met with U.S. Senator Marco Rubio at the State Department on Thursday to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and addressing global challenges, including the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.

The meeting, which lasted about 45 minutes, took place in a "very warm atmosphere," reflecting strong Greece-U.S. relations. Mr. Gerapetritis and Mr. Rubio emphasized the need to enhance

cooperation in trade, defense, and regional security.

They also discussed recent developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the broader Middle East, stressing the importance of stability and diplomatic solutions.

The conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza were key topics, with both reaffirming their commitment to international law and peace efforts.
