High risk of fire in Crete and Aegean on Saturday

Very high risk of fire (Category 4) is forecast for Saturday in the region of Crete and areas of Northern and Southern Aegean regions, according to the Fire Risk Forecast Map from the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.

Specifically, the very high fire risk is expected in the following areas:

Northern Aegean Region (Chios, Samos, Ikaria)

Southern Aegean Region (Kalymnos, Kos, Rhodes, Karapathos)

Crete.

General Secretariat for Civil Protection (civilprotection.gov.gr) has informed the relevant state services, as well as the regional and municipal authorities of these areas, to be on high alert.
