KKE's Koutsoubas at Syntagma: 'We' will soar higher'

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) "will rise even higher," General Secretary of the party Dimitris Koutsoubas said during the party's main pre-election rally at Syntagma Square on Thursday night.

stressed the party's determination to send a strong message for higher percentages on Sunday's elections. "From the center of Athens, we join voices with the workers of Greece who watch with disgust the spectacle of recording of millions of properties and shares while they count every last euro to make ends meet. We join voices with all the people of Europe who have taken to the streets in the struggle against the policies of the EU and their governments," said Koutsoubas, adding: “This is our Europe. With the people who are fighting. We will become their voice in the next European Parliament."

Koutsoubas further highlighted the significance of Sunday's European election, asserting, "At the ballot box, we bolster the sole formidable opposition to the New Democracy government, the unpopular EU, and its parties. We strengthen KKE."
