Operating hours of archaeological sites and monuments adjusted due to heatwave

Operating hours of archaeological sites and monuments will be adjusted on weekends due to the high temperatures expected across Greece.

According to an announcement by the Ministry of Culture, the visiting hours for archaeological sites in Achaia and Mytilene, the Byzantine Castle of Trikala and the archaeological site of Dodoni will be from opening until 1:00 PM.

Additionally, the archaeological sites of Gitana, Pyrgos Ragiou and Elea in Thesprotia as well as the Castle of Saint George and the Roman Villa of Skala in Kefalonia will be open from opening until 12:00 PM. The archaeological sites of Ancient Olympia, Phaistos and Gortyna will operate from opening until 1:00 PM and then from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
