Tourism: Increase in arrivals and overnight stays in May

Arrivals reached 3,754,414 and overnight stays 15,012,287 in Greece's hotels, camping and rooms for rent in May, marking an increase, compared to the corresponding month of 2023 (3.4% in arrivals and 4.6% in overnight stays).

According to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), there was a 3.6% increase in arrivals and a 4.7% increase in overnight stays by foreigners. Accordingly, for nationals, an increase of 2.5% and 3.7% in arrivals and overnight respectively stays was observed.

Foreigners contributed the most to arrivals and overnight stays in total accommodation, with 81.4% and 89.7%, respectively. The average total overnight stay for May amounted to 4 days.
