The School of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications for one position as lecturer in history.

Required qualifications: A Ph.D. in pre-20thCentury European Intellectual History with the ability to teach a sequence of upper-level humanities period courses from Ancient Greece and Rome through the Age of Revolution (1789-1850), and the Reformation.

Preferred qualifications: Record of scholarly publication, experience teaching upper-level European history and/or humanities courses, and ability to teach online courses.

Position Summary: Teach 12 hours of history and humanities courses.

The appointment is a nine month position. Opportunities for summer teaching are available. The successful candidate will begin employment in fall 2012. The position will be based in Victoria.
