Justice ministry unveils new and stricter draft bill against racism

According to the draft bill, anyone who instigates or incites actions that can encourage discrimination, hatred against an individual or a group defined on the basis of race, colour, religion, genealogical background, ethnic origin, sexual orientation

and physical handicap will be faced with three months to three years imprisonment and fines ranging between 5,000-20,000 euros.
Similar penalties will be imposed on anyone who intentionally incites or instigates actions that damage or destroy things used by minority groups and jeopardises public order.
If such actions result in a criminal action, they will be punished with incarceration of no less than six months and a fine of 15,000-30,000 euros.
The same penalties will be imposed on anyone who either publicly praises (verbally, in the press or on the internet), expresses support or denies in bad faith any crimes of genocide or crimes against humanity, war crimes, the Holocaust and Nazism in a way that can incite violence or hatred or be threatening or insulting to a group of people discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, inherent trends, ethnic origin and sexual orientation.
