SYRIZA leads by 3.89 percentage points in European elections

Main opposition Radical Left Coalition SYRIZA party leads the European elections ballots by a 3.89 percentage points margin over trailing government coalition senior partner New Democracy (ND), with nearly all votes counted (99.66 pct).

The results for the top

parties were the following:

SYRIZA - 26.60% (Six MEPs)
ND - 22.71% (Five MEPs)
Golden Dawn - 9.39% (Three MEPs)
Elia - 8.02% (Two MEPs)
Potami - 6.61% (Two MEPs)
KKE - 6.07% (Two MEPs)
Independent Greeks - 3.46% (One MEP)
LAOS - 2.70%
Greek European Citizens - 1.46%
Democratic Left - 1.21%

Candidates elected to European Parliament

A provisional estimate of the Greek candidates elected by voters to the European Parliament, with 17.62 pct of the votes given to each candidate counted, was announced on Monday. The final result may change during the course of the day and will be finalised after a cross-check of the data by first-instance courts.
Based on the results so far, the following candidates are elected:
