O οίκος Gucci αλλάζει δραστικά την πολιτική του για το καλό όλων μας

Με τη βιομηχανία της μόδας να είναι μία από τις πιο ρυπογόνες βιομηχανίες σε όλο τον κόσμο, ευτυχώς για εμάς, όλο και περισσότεροι οίκοι μόδας και brands δείχνουν να ευαισθητοποιούνται και να λαμβάνουμε υπόψιν τους έννοιες όπως η βιωσιμότητα.

Ο οίκος Gucci μάλιστα, που είναι ένας από τους οίκους με την μεγαλύτερη επίδραση στον κόσμο και την βιομηχανία της μόδας ανακοίνωσε πως δεσμεύεται να αλλάξει την τακτική με την οποία δημιουργεί ρούχα μέχρι

το τέλος του Σεπτεμβρίου.

Η ανακοίνωση έγινε με μερικά posts στον επίσημο λογαριασμό του οίκου στο Instagram, ενώ ο Marco Bizzarri, ιταλός επιχειρηματίας, πρόεδρος και CEO της Gucci από τον Ιανουάριο του 2015 επιβεβαίωσε πως στην συλλογή που θα παρουσιαστεί κατά τη διάρκεια της εβδομάδας μόδας στο Μιλάνο, οι δημιουργίες θα είναι απαλλαγμένες από διοξείδιο του άνθρακα. Επίσης θα προσέξουν πολύ τις εκπομπές διοξείδιο του άνθρακα που θα προκληθεί από την μεταφορά των καλεσμένων στο Μιλάνο, αλλά θα δοθεί και μεγάλη προσοχή στα υλικά που θα χρησιμοποιήσουν οι συντελεστές του show για τα σκηνικά.

Σύμφωνα με τον Marco Bizzarri μάλιστα, ο οίκος μόδας θα απαλλάξει πλήρως την εφοδιαστική του αλυσίδα από διοξείδιο του άνθρακα και αέρια του θερμοκηπίου μέχρι το τέλος του Σεπτεμβρίου. Έτσι, ο οίκος μόδας θα γίνει ο πρώτος οίκος μόδας που έχει πιστοποίηση  ISO 20121 certification, καθιστώντας την πρότυπο για την διαχείριση βιώσιμων εκδηλώσεων από τονInternational Organization for Standardization.

Our new carbon neutral commitment will offset all Greenhouse Gas emissions from our own operations and across the supply chain annually by contributing $8.4 million to four UN-backed REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) projects around the world that help to protect and restore some of our most important forests.
