Το ηφαίστειο της Σαντορίνης μέσα από φωτογραφίες χρηστών του Instagram

Ο παγκόσμιος χάρτης ίσως να ήταν διαφορετικός σήμερα αν το ηφαίστειο της Σαντορίνης δεν είχε εκραγεί πριν από 3.500 χρόνια, προκαλώντας μία έκρηξη που οι γεωλόγοι θεωρούν ως την ισχυρότερη που συνέβη ποτέ στα χρονικά.

Το ηφαίστειο της Θήρας δεν δημιούργησε απλά μία τεράστια τρύπα στο νησί της Σαντορίνης, αλλά άλλαξε ριζικά το ρου της ιστορίας της αρχαίας Μεσογείου.

Σήμερα δεκάδες χιλιάδες τουρίστες επισκέπτονται την Παλαιά και την Νέα
