Beautiful Lives Project Expands Services to Disabled Veterans

From on-the-field baseball experiences to adaptive shooting, the Beautiful Lives Project is dedicated to bringing exciting, interactive events to disabled Veterans. Our events are free to participants and are typically activities that would not be available to the disabled community due to physical or facility limitations.

Live a Beautiful Life

From

the pure joy of throwing a ball, painting a picture, to dancing the night away and indoor skydiving, our mission is simple: to allow everyone to enjoy their lives equally – or as we like to say, to “Live a Beautiful Life.”

Please join us in achieving our goal to combat loneliness and isolation while simultaneously fostering community inclusion and breaking down social biases. Everyone can make a difference through participation. We invite all Veterans to participate in this initiative by either attending an event or hosting an event in their community.

Beautiful Lives Project events are broken into categories: Sports, Nature, Performing Arts, Arts and Artisans, and Wellness. We team up with community partners and businesses to organize these events. Our hosts play a critical role in offering exciting opportunities, free of charge to our incredible participants. In turn, our community partners walk away deeply impacted by the connections they make during these events.

We have currently teamed up with Disabled Outdoorsmen and Southern Outdoor Dreams to host an adaptive shooting competition in the Texas Hill Country in spring 2021. This event will be comprised of long-rifle, shotgun, handgun, and archery competitions, as well as fun shoots and tomahawk throwing. All shooting enthusiasts, from elite teams to juniors and novices, are invited to attend. For more information about this event, please visit our Veterans Event Page.

Last year, we hosted over 3,000 participants across the country. This year, we hope to double that number by reaching more communities. But we need your help.

Please email VA@beautifullives.org with an event idea that you would like to attend, or an event you would like to host in your area, and we’ll contact you to get it organized.
