Δραματική είναι η εικόνα που επικρατεί στις ξένες αγορές στην  Ευρώπη με τον δείκτη DAX του χρηματιστηρίου της Φρανκφούρτης να υποχωρεί κατά 7,2% αν και τα συμβόλαια στη Wall Street δείχνουν ότι οι απώλειες έχουν περιοριστεί σημαντικά κάτω από 1%.

Στροφή των επενδυτών παρατηρείται στο χρυσό και πάλι που ενισχύεται οριακά μεν στα 1.677 δολ. η ουγγιά.
