Ford Pro: Και ηλεκτρικά ασθενοφόρα
Από τον Ιανουάριο του 2024, η βρετανική πρωτεύουσα χρησιμοποιεί ηλεκτρικά ασθενοφόρα της Ford Pro, τα οποία έχουν εξελιχθεί από την ομάδα Special Vehicles της εταιρείας. Αυτά τα οχήματα λειτουργούν 24 ώρες το 24ωρο, προσφέροντας τις ίδιες δυνατότητες
Η κίνηση αυτή εντάσσεται στη στρατηγική της Υπηρεσίας Ασθενοφόρων του Λονδίνου για τη μετάβαση σε έναν πιο βιώσιμο στόλο, στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Carbon Neutral Plan, το οποίο στοχεύει σε πλήρη απαλλαγή από τις εκπομπές άνθρακα έως το 2040.
Πέρα από το περιβαλλοντικό όφελος, τα ηλεκτρικά ασθενοφόρα Ford E-Transit έχουν μειώσει κατά 75% το κόστος καυσίμου σε σύγκριση με τα συμβατικά πετρελαιοκίνητα οχήματα, συμβάλλοντας στη μείωση των λειτουργικών εξόδων.
Σε ένα νέο βίντεο που δημοσίευσε η Ford Pro, παρουσιάζεται η καθημερινότητα του παραϊατρικού προσωπικού κατά τη διάρκεια δύο συνεχόμενων βαρδιών το Σαββατοκύριακο. Μέσα από τις εικόνες αποτυπώνεται η πίεση και ο ρυθμός των επειγόντων περιστατικών σε μία από τις πιο πολυσύχναστες πόλεις της Ευρώπης, με το ηλεκτρικό E-Transit να αποδεικνύεται ένα πολύτιμο εργαλείο για το έργο τους.
