Τρόμαξε (έστω και λίγο) η ΕΑ από τις έντονες αντιδράσεις που προκάλεσαν οι όροι χρήσης του Origin, που προειδοποιούν ότι η υπηρεσία αντλεί πολλών ειδών δεδομένα από τους υπολογιστές των χρηστών για διάφορους σκοπούς, όπως διάθεση περιεχομένου και updates, υποστήριξη, διαφημίσεις κλπ. Η εταιρία αναδιατύπωσε το επίμαχο μέρος του κειμένου, χρησιμοποιώντας πολύ πιο φιλική γλώσσα, και καθησυχάζοντας ότι χρησιμοποιεί τα ανώνυμα δεδομένα που αντλεί το Origin
