H ιστορική 3D Realms, δημιουργός του Duke Nukem, επιστρέφει στο προσκήνιο με νέο παιχνίδι. Μιλάμε για το Ion Maiden, το οποίο είναι retro FPS και μάλιστα χρησιμοποιεί τη Build engine των κλασικών Duke Nukem 3D, Blood

και Shadow Warrior. Το παιχνίδι πάντως διαθέτει και σύγχρονα στοιχεία όπως headshots, μοντέλο φυσικής και διαδραστικότητα, υποστήριξη widescreen, υποστήριξη χειριστηρίου και auto-saves.
