Power option names simplified
The power mode options for your Xbox have been renamed to make it easier to choose the right option for you. Standby/Instant-on is now Sleep, and Energy saver/Energy saving is now Shutdown (energy saver). To adjust the power settings for your console, press the Xbox button to open the guide and select Profile &system > Settings > General > Power options.

New HDMI-CEC feature for Xbox Series X/S: TV volume control
If you have an Xbox Series X|S console, you probably know about using an HDMI feature called Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) to send commands to and from CEC-enabled TVs that are connected to your console. Now you can use HDMI-CEC to change your TV’s volume. Just press the Xbox button on your controller to pull up the guide and navigate to the Audio &music section, where you’ll see options for you to change or mute your TV volume.

Mute bootup sounds to start silently
Want a quiet startup experience? Now you can customize your audio settings even more by muting the sounds your console makes when starting up. Just go to Profile &system > Settings > General > Volume &audio output > Additional options and select Mute startup sounds.

Xbox passkeys and guest keys are now Xbox PINs
The Xbox passkey is now Xbox PIN, and the Xbox guest key is now guest PIN. While the names have changed, the functions remain the same. Setting a PIN gives you control over purchases, parental settings, and more. With a guest PIN, you can give guests access to your console without you needing to sign in to your Microsoft account.
