Ο Νικ Νάιτ υπογράφει το φιλμ για τη νέα συλλογή Maison Margiela

Κατά τη διάρκεια της πρώτης ψηφιακής εβδομάδας μόδας που πραγματοποιήθηκε τηρώντας τα μέτρα προφύλαξης για τον νέο κοροναϊό, παρακολουθήσαμε τρέιλερ από την ταινία του διάσημου φωτογράφου μόδας Νικ Νάιτ για την τελευταία Artisanal κολεξιόν του Maison Margiela.

Τώρα, μπορούμε να απολαύσουμε ολόκληρη τη διάρκειας 52 λεπτών και 32 δευτερολέπτων ταινία, καθώς ο οίκος μόδας την έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα.

Με χρήση Zoom, κάμερες GoPro πάνω στο σώμα, ακόμη και ενός μικρού drone, ο Νικ Νάιτ βάζει το θεατή μέσα στο συνήθως μυστικοπαθές ατελιέ

του οίκου για να δείξει πώς ο Τζον Γκαλιάνο, ο διευθυντής δημιουργικού, δημιούργησε μια κολεξιόν κατά τη διάρκεια του lockdown.

Ο οίκος, όπως σημειώνει σχετικά το ΑΠΕ θέλησε να δίνει η ταινία την αίσθηση ενός «θρίλερ».

Και ο τίτλος της, το «S.W.A.L.K.», είναι το ακρωνύμιο της φράσης «sealed with a loving kiss», ακρωνύμιο που χρησιμοποιούσαν οι στρατιώτες εν καιρώ πολέμου για να κλείσουν τα γράμματά τους σε αγαπημένα πρόσωπα.

«Είναι μια ολοκαίνουρια, αναζωογονητική διαδικασία» είπε, στο American Vogue, ο Τζον Γκαλιάνο.

«Ζήτησα από τα παιδιά μου, στην αρχή της πανδημίας, να αρχίσουν με iPad να φιλμάρουν τους εαυτούς τους… Στ’ αλήθεια, έτσι ξεκίνησε.»

Στη συλλογή, βλέπουμε επιστροφή του Τζον Γκαλιάνο στην ιδέα της κυκλικής κοπής, μιας τεχνικής που ο designer είχε χρησιμοποιήσει και στο δικό του εμπορικό σήμα αλλά και την περίοδο που ήταν διευθυντής δημιουργικού στον οίκο Dior και την οποία ο ίδιος συσχετίζει με το ρεύμα των New Romantics της δεκαετίας του 1980.
