An 80-year-old man was brought before an examining magistrate this morning in connection with four wildfires that ravaged Glyka Nera last week.

The suspect faces grave charges of arson with intent, a crime that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment.

He has been granted a postponement to prepare his defense and is scheduled to testify on Wednesday.

photographs and video footage allegedly showing the suspect's car, from which he is accused of throwing burning objects into dry grass.
