Athens Restaurant Earns Michelin Star, While Another Loses Its Coveted Award

Athens' culinary scene continues to evolve with the latest Michelin Guide awards, as a new restaurant earns a coveted star while another loses its prestigious recognition.

Makris Athens by Domes, led by chef Petros Dimas, has been awarded its first Michelin star.

The restaurant, located near the Ancient Agora, impressed inspectors with its innovative farm-to-table concept and stunning setting, which features a glass floor revealing ancient artifacts.

Chef Dimas sources many ingredients from his own nearby farm, ensuring the highest quality for his creative dishes.

Several other Athens restaurants retained their Michelin stars, including Delta, with two stars, and Botrini’s, Hytra, and Spondi, among others. Delta, Soil, and Patio also kept their Green Stars, which recognize sustainable practices.
