Greece Makes Strides in Fight Against Organized Crime

Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis has reported significant progress in the police's efforts to dismantle organised crime networks.

He promised major results in the fight against corruption, particularly in businesses being extorted.

The minister announced a stronger police presence in Mykonos to address issues damaging the island's reputation. He also highlighted the creation of a Greek FBI to investigate criminal networks involved in various illegal activities.

Regarding organised crime in football, Mr. Chrisochoidis pointed to ongoing police investigations, stressing the need to address the recruitment of young people into gangs.
