The traditional recipe includes red peppers and eggplants. It most certainly isn't that watery silly recipe that the taverns recommend and they accompany with rice. Believe me, I know well. My maternal grandmother is from Pelion and I've an aunt who is an acclaimed cook and has her own show in a local channel. Her book has gotten numerous awards for traditional recipes.
