The largest LNG bukering vessel – Gas Agility

The largest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering vessel, a ship capable of taking LNG from a ground station and refuel another ship with it, has just been inaugurated thanks to €11.6 million in support from the CEF Transport funding programme.

The Gas  Agility was loaded for the first time with 18,600 m3 of the fuel on 28 April at the Port of Dunkirk’s LNG terminal in France and immediately refuelled the CMA Jacques Saadé container ship

LNG plays a key role in the decarbonisation of the maritime sector as it offers a reduced environmental impact in comparison to traditional fuels such as diesel/heavy oil.
