Good morning beautiful souls. Last night was one of the most difficult nights for me mentally and emotionally in a really long time. I feel the need to share this with you all to shed a little reality on your daily Instagram feed. Even though my story yesterday was full of glam, beauty posts, and selfies from work (and today will probably consist of the same) it doesn’t mean that every moment is picture perfect for me. I’ve always dealt with having anxieties in my life and last night was one of the those times where everything difficult in life kinda felt like it stuck together at once. I was up until almost 4am in my hotel room unable to sleep and had to wake up today at 7 for a full day of work. In the midst of so many great things, sometimes I still feel so low. I guess what I’m trying to say is that no matter how they make it seem on Instagram… nobody’s life is perfect. Everybody has their own internal world and personal struggles. Never compare your own life/accomplishments to the ones that people display on social media- these platforms are like the highlight reels of our lives and not many will post about the difficult things they go through. Even the model, musician, or athlete in the picture you scroll past gets stressed, has worries, and feels sadness. We are all human. Let’s just try our best to love one another equally and not compare anybody. INCLUDING OURSELVES!! @kari.c.riley
