Apostolos Christou Makes Greek Swimming History with Fourth Place Finish in 100m Backstroke

Christou delivered an outstanding race in the 100m backstroke final in Paris, narrowly missing out on a medal by just two-tenths of a second. He finished with a time of 52.41 seconds, setting the highest Olympic position ever achieved by a Greek swimmer. American Ryan Murphy, who clocked 52.39 seconds, claimed the bronze medal.
